Taking a Stand

Being authentic can be political; this is something intersectional (queer) folk understand. Just by being, unfolding, loving, breathing, queerness is something often policed, judged and thus sacrificed. In our most international block of films, we explore through the delight of language, the power of documentation, the joy of our humor, and the surrender from the things we cannot control.

El ser auténtique puede ser político; esto es algo que la gente interseccional (queer) entendemos. Por el simple hecho de ser, desplegarse, amar, respirar, lo queer es algo que a menudo se vigila, se juzga y, por lo tanto, se sacrifica. En nuestro bloque de películas más internacional, exploramos a través del deleite lingüístico, el poder de la documentación, la alegría de nuestro humor y la entrega de las cosas que no podemos controlar.
